2 Tohono O'odham members found after reported missing in Phoenix

Thomas Lewis and Phillip Pancho had not been seen since Oct. 20 at noon. Family members say both men have recently been found.

PHOENIX — EDITOR'S NOTE: Family members of Lewis and Pancho have told 12News that the men have both been found. One is expected to be released from the hospital and the other was found Wednesday morning in Mesa.

Two members of the Tohono O'odahm Nation have not been seen since Oct. 20 and may be in the Phoenix area, officials say.

Thomas Lewis, 61, and Phillip Pancho, 52, were visiting the Valley to attend the Arizona State Fair when they were last seen last Friday at about noon. They were expected to meet up with a group at 2:30 p.m. and never arrived, according to the Tohono O'odahm Nation.

The two friends should be carrying identification but don't have cell phones with them. Lewis and Pancho have been described by the nation as being functional and with some diminished mental capacity.

Lewis was last seen wearing a maroon shirt, blue jeans, a camouflage baseball cap, and glasses. Pancho was last seen wearing a blue flannel shirt, blue jeans, blue tennis shoes and a baseball cap.

Anyone with information can call the Tohono O'odahm Police Department at 520-383-3275. The Phoenix Police Department and Arizona Department of Public Safety are also involved in the investigation.
