4 people, dog dead after 2 separate but related shootings in Phoenix

The suspect accused of shooting and killing two people in Phoenix Monday morning was found dead in a home along with a teenager and a dog.

PHOENIX — Four people and a dog are dead after a series of shootings in Phoenix Monday.

Carmen Buscemi, 62, and Sage Fitz, 49, were found with gunshot wounds Monday morning at a business near 27th Avenue and Deer Valley Road. Buscemi was pronounced dead at the scene and Sage Fitz was taken to a hospital where she died, Phoenix police said.

Officers found the suspect, 53-year-old Bryan Fitz's vehicle in front of a house near 22nd Avenue and Utopia Road. After receiving a search warrant, detectives went into the home and found Bryan Fitz dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. His 12-year-old son, Baynen Fitz was also found dead with a gunshot wound. A dog was also shot and killed, police said.

Phoenix officers said that Sage Fitz was the suspect's estranged wife and Baynen was their child.

Buscemi's family is holding a GoFundMe to help cover funeral services and legal fees. You can click here to donate: gofundme.com/f/carmen-buscemi

Police said the shooting appeared to be over a marital dispute.

Phoenix police detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shootings.
