1 dead after being hit by train in West Valley

An adult man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

SUN CITY, Ariz. — One person died after being hit by a train while riding a bicycle Friday in the West Valley, according to officials with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened near Grand and 107th avenues in Sun City around 6 p.m. An adult man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. 

107th Avenue will be closed north and southbound at the intersection for several hours.
