Woman arrested in Sun City crash that killed 53-year-old man

Officials said 58-year-old Olivia Harris was speeding and driving under the influence when she crashed into a palm tree.

SUN CITY, Ariz. — A woman was arrested for manslaughter after a Sun City crash that killed her passenger.

Law enforcement officials with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said 58-year-old Olivia Harris was speeding and driving under the influence when she crashed into a palm tree, killing 53-year-old Bobby Spencer. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. 

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. on Dec. 13 near 107th and Peoria avenues.

An MCSO drug recognition expert responded to the hospital as part of the investigation, officials said. More charges could be filed in the future.
