The brown, buck-toothed beaver that was found swimming around Tempe Town Lake last month, is doing a lot better.
Wildlife volunteers rescued the beaver from the lake's dirty water. He had a stomach bug and was lethargic.
Ever since then, veterinarians at the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center in Scottsdale have been nursing the beaver, all 45 pounds of him, back to health.
They say the he's healthy, happy and ready to go home.So next Thursday, they'll release the beaver back into the wild.
