GLENDALE, Ariz. — Authorities are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a Glendale park on Wednesday afternoon.
Glendale police said shortly after 4 p.m., an officer observed people running from an area near 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Police said the people pointed the officer to Bonsall Park South where he found 53-year-old Byron Lamar McBrine deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.
Witnesses told police that 44-year-old Eron Corrales allegedly shot McBrine and then fled in a blue vehicle.
He was later apprehended and police arrested Corrales for unrelated drug charges. Investigators later found additional evidence to connect Corrales to the shooting.
