Arizona Renaissance Festival
The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park full of adventure. Folks can see a variety of shows and performances on the 13-stage theater, visit the arts and crafts fair, see knights joust it out in a jousting tournament and of course, feast on all of the delicious food. West Valley Fair and Music Festival
Do you wish the Arizona State Fair was year-round? Well, go to this mini-state fair in the West Valley! It will be full of carnival rides, family attractions, games, fair foods, live music, exhibits and more. Tickets are $10, youth and senior admission is $7 and you can get a ride wristband for $25. Food Truck Friday
Do you love food trucks? Then you should experience Food Truck Friday! This event showcases the wonderful food trucks in metro Phoenix. Spark! Mesa's Festival of Creativity
If you're creative this is definitely a festival that you will want to attend. The festival, which goes on for two days, will feature musical performances, food, fun and creative activities and more. It runs from noon to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the Mesa Arts Center on One East Main Street. Admission is free and for more information visit mesaartscenter.com/spark.
KA-POW! Superhero Adventure Run
Get your capes on this weekend for the KA-POW! Superhero Adventure Run. The event, hosted by Banner Health Center, is a costumed run fit for the whole family with fun and challenging obstacles. The family-friendly course has 20 playful obstacles with a distance under two miles. It's a free event and goes from 8 a.m. until noon at Freestone Park, 1045 E. Juniper Avenue. 2016 Great American BBQ and Beer Festival
If you love barbeque and beer then head to downtown Chandler this weekend. There will be more than 60 pit masters from across the nation dishing out great barbeque. There will also be more than 20 kegs of craft beer from SanTan Brewing Company. Doors open at noon and close at 10 p.m. The festival will span from AJ Chandler Park East and West as well as connecting Arizona Avenue. Tickets are $12 for general admission. Glenmorangie Scottish Gathering and Highland Games
The Arizona Scottish community will gather at Steele Indian School Park this weekend to celebrate the Scottish culture. The Glenmorangie Scottish Highland Games will feature world-class athletic competitions, Highland dance, reenactment presentations, educational seminars, clans, food, live music and more. ASU Archaeology Festival
Join the Center for Archeology and Society at their annual Archeology Festival. The festival celebrates Arizona Archeology Month and Southwest archeology with exhibits from sites and organizations across the state. Pot of Gold Music Festival
Don't miss this two-day music festival at Tempe Beach Park. Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, Big Sean and others will be at the music festival on Saturday to celebrate St. Paddy's Day! Head to Glendale this weekend to experience more than 40 performers at this folk and bluegrass music festival. Check, Please! Arizona Festival
Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix will host the Check, Please! Arizona Festival this weekend. Signature dishes from local restaurants from some of your favorite episodes of the show Check! Please will be featured in the festival. There will also be beer pairing from local wineries and breweries, along with cooking demonstrations.
