Trick or Treat on Main Street in Mesa
Go trick-or-treating with your kiddos Friday night on Main Street in Mesa. Kids are invited to dress up and head to downtown Mesa to collect candy from downtown businesses. This is the fourth year this event has been happening. It goes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free. For more information head to downtownmesa.com.
The Book of Mormon at ASU Gammage
Go see "The Book of Mormon" at ASU Gammage this weekend. The New York Times calls it the best musical of the century. People call it funny and a must-see show while it is in town. PoeFest at the Hotel San Carlos
For the seventh year there is a month-long festival celebrating the works of Edgar Allen Poe in downtown Phoenix. PoeFest is produced by the Arizona Curriculum Theater and is an event where actors perform Poe's stories in character as inmates from a 19th-century asylum for the criminally insane. The stories rotate nightly and will be performed inside of the Ghost Lounge in the hotel. For more information go to poefest.org.
Stagecoach Village Fine Art and Wine Festival
Head to Cave Creek this weekend for the 7th annual wine festival. There will be entertainment, beautiful views and west style architecture during this wonderful outdoor event. Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Party
It's the last weekend to enjoy the pumpkin and chili party at Schnepf Farms! Schnepf Farms offers fun fall activities for every age. You can go on a hay ride, a four-acre corn maze, a pumpkin patch, pig races and chili.There are also fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights and you can grab a pumpkin from the rows and rows of pumpkins at the farm. It's a party for all ages all month long! Tickets are $17 plus tax at the gate or $15 at any Fry's. Children under two are free. For more information go to schnepffarms.com.
Orpheum Theater Ghost Tours
Do you believe in ghosts? Maybe you will after this tour of the Orpheum Theater. It's a unique tour that only happens during Halloween time each year. The tour will run from Oct. 28 through the 31 and run at 6 p.m., 6:54 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:15 p.m. and 9 p.m. Admission is $30. For more information head to orpheumghosttours.com.
Frida Kahlo: Her Photos
Go to the Heard Museum this weekend to see more than 240 images from the 6,500 that are part of the Blue House archive. The images are from Frida Kahlo's collection and were locked in a room of the Blue House but revealed to the public in 2007. Admission to see this and more of the museum is $18 for adults, $13.50 for senior and students and kids is $7.50. For hours and more information head to heard.org.
Scottsdale Fall Festival
Head to Scottsdale's 46th annual Fall Festival at the Eldorado Aquatic and Fitness Center. You can take a trip through the Haunted Forest, win candy at the game booth and jump around in a bounce house at this event. It is free and foes from 5 to 9 p.m. For more information head to scottsdaleaz.gov.

Arizona State Fair
Visit the Arizona State Fair this weekend and experience fair food, dozens of rides, games, live animals, performances and more. The state fair goes until the beginning of November and it's not something you will want to miss! Hours vary by day but it is open Wednesday through Sunday. The Crypt Haunted Attractions
Mesa will be full of three terrifying attractions this October. The Crypt Haunted Attractions includes the Asylum, Chaos haunted maze and the Crypt, all of which will get your adrenaline rushing as you make your way through them. This is one of Arizona's longest running haunted attractions. it is open Wednesday through Sunday until October 31. The ultimate pass is $23 and includes both haunted house plus the maze or $15 for a single haunted house or $5 for the haunted maze. Group rates are also available. Carefree Pumpkin Carving and Enchanted Garden
Wow! Head to Carefree this weekend to see this amazing exhibit. Halloween invades Carefree with amazing pumpkin carvings from master carver Ray Villafane. The garden is open to the public and is free. The event celebrates incredible artistry and different designs carved into pumpkins. The grand opening is on Friday but it will be open to the public until October 31. It'll be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Carefree Desert Gardens. For more information head to carefree.org.
