LR vandal damages century-old statues at cemetery

Little Rock police are searching for a person who caused over $90,000 of damage to a local cemetery over the last two days.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Little Rock police are searching for a person who caused over $90,000 of damage to a local cemetery over the last two days.

According to a report of the Little Rock Police Department, a caretaker of Mount Holly Cemetery on S. Broadway told officers that the unknown person entered the location between 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 and 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20.

Among the vandalized property were statues that were over 100 years old, including exact replicas of small children that were buried at the cemetery in the late 1800s.

Officers were told that there were video cameras at the location, but that they had not recorded anything since March 2.
