First you exercise, then you eat. It's all part of Meet Me Downtown every Monday evening.

There's no doubt, we have great weather here in the Valley, perfect for exercising, but why not change up your routines.

It's time to ditch that treadmill and meet others at Meet Me Downtown Phoenix.

Meet Me Downtown can best be described as a family that you don't know until you come to downtown Phoenix. It's a place you can walk, a place you can run, it's a place for community, it's a place to help local businesses.

Every Monday night, starting at 5:15 p.m. at the Corner Restaurant at CityScape, people gather to get fit together.

Whether you walk the 3.3 mile loop or run the 5 mile loop, it's a fantastic way to see and explore downtown and find some great deals on food after as a reward.

It all started with members of Fit Phoenix, Mayor Greg Stanton and Phoenix City Council Member Daniel Valenzuela, all in an effort to show off how great downtown Phoenix is and what it has to offer.

This weekly event started a few months ago, and over the course of it, 3,000 people have gathered and collectively have walked 9,000 miles. It's all about walking your way to a healthier lifestyle.

So you just have to ask yourself one question. What are you doing after work on Monday nights? Looks like you now have an answer.

A free, fun event, that gathers the community and allows you to explore Downtown Phoenix. You can visit their website at meetmedowntownphx.com.
