We're featuring different communities through the year, and this week, we're featuring Tempe on 12 News. The city of Tempe has plenty of awesome places and people, but here are a few things that make Tempe great.

1. Tempe Town Lake

Along with Tempe Beach Park, the lake provides a picture-perfect spot to go for a walk or hit the water for a boat ride.

2. Mill Ave.

ASU students frequent this hot spot as it's filled with plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.

3. Arizona State University

Tempe is home to ASU's main campus and has many iconic spots like Old Main, Palm Walk and Hayden Lawn.

4. "A" Mountain

No visit to Tempe would be complete without a hike up "A" mountain!

5. The Arizona Cardinals

While the Cardinals play their games in Glendale, their training facility and offices are based in Tempe.
