The Arizona Cardinals have signed offensive lineman Bradley Sowell for another year and added another defensive back.

The following is the team's press release:

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has re-signed tackle Bradley Sowell to a one-year contract and signed cornerback Damond Smith. In accordance with club policy, terms were not disclosed.

Sowell (6-7, 315) played all 16 games last season appearing on special teams and as a backup offensive lineman. In 2013, Sowell played in all 16 games, including starting the final 12 games of the season at left tackle after being claimed off waivers from the Colts on September 1. He entered the NFL with Tampa Bay as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Mississippi in 2012 and spent his rookie season with Indianapolis where he played in 10 games.

Smith (6-0, 185) spent last preseason with Kansas City but was released in the Chiefs final roster cut on September 5. He spent the 2013 season on the practice squad of the B.C. Lions in the Canadian Football League after playing his final two college seasons at South Alabama. Smith played his first two collegiate seasons at Western Michigan where he recorded 35 tackles in 18 games (six starts).
