FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. — A woman is dead after drowning in Fountain Hills, authorities said.
Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies responded to the area near Eagle Ridge Drive and Palisades Boulevard around 10 p.m. on Friday in reference to an injured person.
When deputies arrived, they located a woman who was found in a hot tub, unresponsive. Fountain Hills fire responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead.
Detectives have assumed the investigation and at this time, authorities said the circumstances surrounding the woman's death are unknown.
