Woman arrested for allegedly threatening Sheriff Mark Lamb

The suspect is accused of sending threatening emails to the law enforcement official and potentially violating an order of protection, court records show.

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. — A woman was recently arrested in Pinal County for allegedly threatening violence against Sheriff Mark Lamb.

Court records show Hannah Luna has been taken into custody after she allegedly sent threatening emails to the elected official and potentially violated an order of protection.

One of the threatening emails allegedly included a picture of a child with the letters "RIP" and blood graphics pasted over it.

Luna denied having access to electronic devices when she was questioned about the threats, court records show. She's been booked into the Pinal County jail.

When asked whether PCSO would be handing the case over to another agency to avoid a conflict of interest, the sheriff's office said it had initially asked the FBI to investigate but decided to pursue the case on their own after the FBI declined to get involved.

Furthermore, PCSO emphasized that Sheriff Lamb is not the only alleged victim in the case.

During a 12News Town Hall event earlier this week, Lamb remarked upon about how he's been subjected to negative online comments and cyber bullying while in office.
