FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — As temperatures drop in Arizona and autumn sets in, some may wonder when to expect the trees in northern areas of the state to change from green to yellows, oranges and reds.
The City of Flagstaff brings in millions of tourists a year. To make viewing the fall colors easier, city officials created the LEAFometer.
The LEAFometer is a webpage where visitors can go before their trip to areas like Flagstaff or Sedona to see where the trees are changing colors. The LEAFometer starts at green, meaning the fall foliage isn't quite there yet; it goes to fiery red when the fall colors are at their best.
