The storms hit early Tuesday morning across the state.
Valley residents woke up to rain and lightning. Although the storm moved pretty fast from south to north, the storm cells should linger.
The Valley experienced humidity and more cloud coverage throughout the day, which will held temps back to below 100 in Phoenix.

Other parts of the state were also seeing storms.
The National Weather Service in Tucson said early Tuesday morning that storms were "clearing out quickly," but there's a good chance for more later in the day.
The High Country will also be active throughout the day as the storms move north.

NWS says no storms expected in Phoenix anytime soon. Conditions are quiet over central deserts and that most of the strong storms are south of the Arizona border.

NWS Flagstaff says wind gusts up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail can be expect at the Grand Canyon National Park.

Flash flood watch expanded to "include wider area of northern Arizona." Watch in effect until 9 p.m.

"Wind gusts to 50 mph, half inch hail, torrential rain" happening west of Highway 89 near Gray Mountain and Cameron, NWS Flagstaff says.

Strong storm bringing heavy rainfall and nickel-size hail to areas near Doney Park and north of I-40, NWS says.

Flood advisory is in effect for portions of the Verde Valley region due to heavy rainfall.
Back in the Valley, the National Weather Service says no rain was "officially" recorded this morning at Sky Harbor, but storm chances continue.

Thunderstorms continuing to move north towards Sedona and Flagstaff. NWS Flagstaff says 1 inch of rain will be possible.

Storms hitting north of the Valley and with huge storms headed to Payson and Overgaard.

A urban and small stream flood advisory was canceled for parts of southeastern Arizona.

National Weather Service in Flagstaff is tracking a line of storms heading to Payson and the surrounding areas. Lightning, heavy rain and even pea-size hail can be expected.

National Weather Service in Phoenix says a line of storms should :clear the Phoenix area by 7:30 a.m.
A significant weather advisory extended to 6:45 a.m. in Maricopa County.
A flash flood watch is in effect for parts of north-central Arizona until 9 p.m.
