Tallest home in North America up for sale

The 6,200 square foot home boasts 10 levels of luxury and stunning 360 degree views of Prescott.
The tallest private, single residence home in North America is up for sale.

Ten levels of luxury complete with two kitchens, three bathrooms and four bedrooms -- all 124 feet up in the air -- is for sale in Prescott.

It's the tallest private, single residence home in North America, and buyers should be ready to pay $2.8 million dollars for all 6,200 square feet.

"Falcon nest is what we like to call it," said Chris Woods of Reality Executive Northern Arizona. "What makes it so unique is it's a cylinder of reinforced concrete holding four steel trusses 70 feet in the air."

It's a delicate balancing act and there are no nuts or bolts holding the home together. Instead, the current owner and architect of the property created a sophisticated design that shows off the spectacular 360 degree views that will never be obstructed.

"This property is adjacent to all national forest," he said. "There were plans for other lots this high, but the city bought it and turned it over to the land trust."

Nestled in the side of Thumb Butte, every level of the home offers spectacular views. The main living quarters are on the third and sixth levels.

Navigating the home is easy with the elevator, or one can climb all 144 steps to get to the very top.

The property was put up for sale on Monday, and originally cost the owner $4 million dollars to build. Wood said they've already got some interested buyers.

"I showed our first client yesterday and they are qualified," he said. "I will not tell names, but he represents a hotel chain."
