PHOENIX — Circle K stations in the Valley and across the state ran out of fuel, the company confirmed in a statement Monday.
The company did not disclose a specific number, but said some of its sites had run out of gas due to "unforeseen circumstances" made worse by the usual fuel blend change at this time of year and high demand for fuel during spring break.
Team 12's Mitch Carr observed several Circle K locations around Phoenix that featured out-of-service signs on pumps Monday, including gas stations at:
- 24th Street and Indian School Road
- 40th Street and McDowell Road
- 52nd Street and McDowell Road
- 68th Street and McDowell Road
- 7th and Roosevelt streets
- 11th and Van Buren streets
- 24th and Van Buren streets
- 32nd and Van Buren streets
The company apologized to customers for the inconvenience and said it will be several more days before its gas stations are back to full capacity.

"Circle K is experiencing fuel outages across Arizona due to a 'perfect storm' of unforeseen circumstances including isolated issues with its pipeline, refinery supply source and ethanol distribution. The situation has been exacerbated by the customary fuel blend change at this time of year and high fuel demand due to spring break. 'Everyone in the Arizona Business Unit, Circle K’s global fuel department, and our supply partners are working hard to correct the situation,' said Tim Tourek, VP of Operations Arizona. 'We expect it will be several more days before we are back to full capacity. We greatly appreciate the patience of our customers as we do all we can to return to business as usual as soon as possible.'"
