SEDONA, Ariz. — A 40-year-old California woman has passed away after she fell from a 140-foot cliff while hiking in Sedona with her family.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said Zaynab Joseph fell yesterday on Bear Mountain during a hiking trip with her husband and 1-year-old child.
A group of hikers responded to the area after hearing screaming and one of them hiked down the embankment to find Joseph still breathing. She later passed away.
Joseph's husband and child were flown off the mountain and rescue volunteers were able to recover the woman's body.
YCSO said the cause of the fatal incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 928-771-3260.
