Sheriff looking for driver who 'intentionally' swerved into cyclists

The hit-and-run crash occurred on the morning of Oct. 6 near Cornville.

YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is searching for a hit-and-run suspect who allegedly injured a cyclist last month.

On Oct. 6 at about 8:30 a.m., a truck "intentionally swerved" into two cyclists near Page Springs Road and Oak Grove Lane in Cornville, YCSO said. One of the cyclists hit the ground, sustaining broken ribs and severe abrasions.

The truck's driver then fled northbound on Page Springs Road. The sheriff's office is still actively searching for the driver.

The suspect has been described as a man under the age of 30 with brown, medium-length hair. He was wearing a brown baseball cap and plaid shirt at the time of the incident.

A surveillance camera captured an image of the suspect's truck but no license plate number could be detected.

Anyone with information can contact YCSO at 928-771-3260.
