PRESCOTT, Ariz. - The Prescott Police Department is investigating a possible threat to the Yavapai County Courthouse on Monday.
According to Prescott police deputy chief Amy Bonney, a tip came into the department concerning two men seen at a gas station. They were said to be discussing "what were considered general threats about the Yavapai County Courthouse."
The tip described the men as being in their late 20's, approximately 5-foot-8 with short dark hair. One had a thin build and the other a more muscular build.
Both were described as having a dark complexion.
Their vehicle was described as a newer model black sedan, possibly an Acura, with tinted windows.
Police have not developed any additional information on the men or the credibility of the threat, and the courthouse has continued normal operations.
According to Prescott police, officers are providing additional patrols in the area and will be supported by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
