Prescott man arrested for shooting pregnant wife

His wife was four months pregnant at the time of the shooting.

PRESCOTT, Ariz. - On Saturday, 41-year-old Kenneth Blair reported to Yavapai County Sheriff's Office that he had accidentally shot his wife.

His wife, Delissa Blair, also 41, was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead due to a gunshot to the head. After investigation, Kenneth Blair admitted he had shot his wife during an argument or heated discussion.

At that point, he was arrested and booked on two counts of first-degree murder. His wife was four months pregnant at the time of the shooting.

Blair's other two children, aged 5 and 11 were also home at the time of the shooting, though neither were injured. Blair's bond has not been set.

Blair is a military veteran, and officials with YCSO are working to determine if PTSD had played a role in the shooting, or if there was a history of domestic abuse.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month.
