MARICOPA, Ariz. — Two of four girls who were reported missing from a group home in Maricopa have been found, police said.
On the night of Jan. 27, four juveniles left with their belongings from a local group home and asked a man for a ride to the Gila River Indian Community. Police said the man provided the transportation but the whereabouts of the four girls is still unknown.
Two of the missing girls are members of the Gila River Indian Community, so the tribe's police department is assisting Maricopa police with trying to track down the girls.
It's not clear whether the four girls may be traveling together or separately, police said.
The two who were found have been located within the Gila River Indian Community. The Maricopa Police Department has reason to believe the other two teens may be in the area as well, police said.
Police did not say which girls were located.
