TUCSON, Ariz. — The Tucson Police Department is searching for a man who attempted to abduct a woman who was walking near the University of Arizona campus Thursday night.
The woman was walking near 8th Street and Mountain Avenue when she noticed a car following her. At about 8 p.m., a man exited the vehicle and grabbed the woman from behind.
While she was being restrained, the woman started screaming and fell to the ground. The suspect released her and ran back to his car, Tucson police said.
The woman was not seriously injured.
The suspect has not yet been located. He was seen driving a dark blue, four-door car with tinted windows and dents along the front.
Tucson police is working with the University of Arizona Police Department to locate any surveillance video that may have captured the suspect. Anyone with information can call 88-CRIME.
