PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting reported Monday morning near 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
At about 9 a.m., officers responding to the area found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. That man, identified as 38-year-old Daniel Amos Kemp, was given life-saving measures by firefighters, but died at the scene, police said.

Police said their investigation showed that Kemp got into an argument with another person that resulted in shots being fired.
No one has been arrested and police did not release any details about any suspects they are looking for.
Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS or (480) TESTIGO to report your tip in Spanish. All tips reported to Silent Witness are anonymous and a reward may be paid out for information that leads to an arrest.

Silent Witness:
Arizona's Silent Witness program allows people to send in tips and share information about crimes happening within their local communities.
The program shares unsolved felony case information in multiple ways, including TV, radio and social media.
Anyone who has information on a crime or recognizes a suspect described by the program is asked to call 480-948-6377, go to the program's website online or download the Silent Witness app to provide a tip. The identity of anyone who submits a tip is kept anonymous.
Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case.
Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.

Maricopa County is the United States’ 4th largest county in terms of population with 4,485,414 people, according to the 2020 Census.
