Missing woman found deceased in desert

The woman had reportedly attempted to walk home after her car sustained a flat tire.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. — A woman reported missing earlier this month was later found deceased in the desert area west of Cotton Lane, according to Goodyear police.

Angela Dwight was reported missing on June 15 by her family after she failed to return home. Police said Dwight's car had sustained a flat tire as she was driving home from work and Dwight attempted to walk home.

After Dwight's vehicle was located, police began conducting a search in the surrounding area and the woman was eventually found deceased the following morning. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating how Dwight died. 

Foul play is not suspected at this time, police said.
