ARIZONA, USA — A hiker who went missing on Saturday was found dead near Lost Dutchman State Park Sunday morning, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
According to early reports, 52-year-old Kristopher Childers was reported as a possible overdue hiker Saturday evening. He was last heard from around 11 a.m. that day.
PCSO, DPS and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office started searching by air and ground that night and reportedly continued into the next morning.
Childers was found dead shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8.
The Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office is still investigating Childers' cause of death.
