The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects who allegedly broke into the Four Peaks Amethyst Mine in the Tonto National Forest and walked out with a five-gallon bucket of amethyst gemstones.

MCSO said the theft happened back in August 2018.

The amethyst is valued at about $15,000 - $20,000 and the two suspects caused damage to the mine, MCSO said.

MCSO said both suspects are white men between the age of 25-30. One of the men is described as being 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall while the other suspect is shorter at approximately 5-foot-6.

According to MCSO, an image captured of one of the suspects shows him getting into a black Toyota Tundra with a possible Arizona license plate of "GYO65."
