MCSO: Body of a missing diver at Lake Pleasant is recovered

Officials identified the diver as 30-year old Joshua Rosen of Tucson who went missing while scuba diving at Old Waddell Dam, sheriff's officials say.

PHOENIX — Editor's note: The above video is a report from a few days ago when MCSO's dive team began its search for the missing diver.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say the body of a missing diver at Lake Pleasant has been found.

They say MCSO Lake Patrol divers and Commercial Divers International from Goodyear made the recovery Tuesday afternoon.

The diver has been identified as 30-year old Joshua Rosen of Tucson. He went missing on Saturday, May 4 at around 5 p.m. while scuba diving at the Old Waddell Dam. 

Crews had been searching at the lake since Saturday night when sheriff's deputies were alerted that a diver was missing and presumed dead.

The man was diving with two other people near the dam at the southern end of the lake.

The body was recovered in water that was approximately 200 feet deep, MCSO said.

At this time the investigation into Rosen's death is ongoing. MCSO said there are no indications of suspicious circumstances. 

Maricopa County Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death.
