Sen. John McCain's new memoir is being called his "most personal book in years."
"The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and Other Appreciations" will cover everything from the 2008 election, 2016 election and much more.
McCain has had a few high-profile clashes with President Trump and the memoir promises to bring his "no-holds-barred opinions on the current developments coming out of Washington" to readers.
"Candid, pragmatic, and always fascinating, John McCain holds nothing back in his latest memoir," the book's description from publisher Simon & Schuster reads.
McCain, 81, has spent decades as Arizona's senator currently serving his sixth term. But since this past summer, McCain has been battling brain cancer and hasn't returned to Capitol Hill in months.
Arizona's senior senator has been at his cabin near Sedona since the beginning of the year recovering from treatment.
The memoir is co-authored by Mark Salter, McCain's frequent collaborator on books, and is set to be published on May 22.
"In his forty years in politics McCain has never been afraid to buck trends or ruffle a few feathers," the description reads. "His words are more important today than ever."
