According to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, deputies tried to stop a Chevy Camaro for a traffic violation around 9:13 p.m. on Highway 80 north of Tombstone.

The driver of the Camaro didn't stop and increased his speed to 120 miles per hour and forced other cars off the road. Deputies and the Tombstone Marshal's Office continued the chase.

At one point the Camaro stopped and a man in camouflage got out and ran away. The Camaro then drove off again reaching speeds up to 120 miles per hour.

Department of Public Safety Troopers deployed tire deflation devices, striking three of the four tires.

The driver, 21-year-old Efren David Cosme Malohua of Mesa was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Jail on felony charges of Human Smuggling and Unlawful flight and a misdemeanor charge of Reckless Driving.
