A man was found unresponsive at La Paz County Adult Detention Facility on May 2 and died the next day at a Phoenix hospital, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the death of 21-year-old Simratpal Singh who was found unresponsive shortly before 8 p.m. on May 2 at the facility in Parker. He was taken to a local hospital.
The sheriff's office said Singh was later transported to a Phoenix hospital for further medical evaluation where he died on Friday.
According to the sheriff's office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the appropriate Consulate are attempting to contact his family.
The investigation is ongoing.
