SONOITA, Ariz. (AP) - The Latest on a wildfire in southern Arizona that has destroyed several structures (all times local):

Fire official say six, not eight, structures have burned in a southern Arizona fire in Sonoita.
The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says an aerial assessment found six burned structures. The Sonoita-Elgin Fire District chief said on Wednesday morning that four of the structures were houses, but the Forestry and Fire Management department says it's unclear how many are homes. It says firefighters assessing the damage last night were working in the dark and might have miscounted.
Residents of about 100 homes have been evacuated from Sonoita after the fire that began Tuesday and was possibly ignited by lightning.

Authorities now say six structures have burned in Sonoita south of Tucson in a wildfire that started Tuesday.
The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says about 100 firefighters are battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown, but the department says there were reported lightning strikes in the area.
Firefighters are dealing with extreme heat as they battle the fire. Air resources are assessing whether they need to use retardant.
Department spokeswoman Tiffany Davila said officials will make sure firefighters are hydrated and safe during the heat wave that has brought extreme temperatures to parts of Arizona.

Authorities say at least four homes have burned in a wildfire about 45 miles southeast of Tucson.
The wildfire was reported Tuesday and is still relative small in size but grew quickly.
The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said authorities were evacuating several residents.
Over 100 homes were threatened by the fire, which was being handled by local firefighters and by the State Forestry department.
