MORENCI, Ariz. — The Hickey Fire has started burning in eastern Arizona in Morenci, according to authorities.

The USDA said the fire is burning 10 miles north/northeast of the Morenci Mine, five miles southeast of the Martinez Ranch/San Francisco River, and West of Forest Road 215.
So far it has burned around 35 acres, the USDA said.
Officials said the fire is "in a rugged, remote portion of the district accessed only by helicopter."
The risks it poses are being evaluated and the necessary actions will be taken to protect possible assets at risk
