PARKER, Ariz.- Authorities in La Paz County say a former high school teacher has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a former student.
County Sheriff's officials say Michael O'Boyle is being held on 16 counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
They say O'Boyle was booked Friday into the Yavapai County Jail in Prescott Valley.
It's unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
O'Boyle formerly taught at Salome High School.
Sheriff's officials say there were notified of the alleged relationship between O'Boyle and a former student two months ago.
The age and gender of the former student weren't immediately released.
Sheriff's officials say they obtained a search warrant for O'Boyle's home and the investigation resulted in an arrest warrant.
