Eloy police search for attempted murder suspect

The Eloy Police Department has asked for the public's help in locating Joaquin Coronado-Saavedra, who is wanted for the attempted murder of his estranged girlfriend.

The Eloy Police Department needs the public's help in locating Joaquin Coronado-Saavedra, who is wanted for the attempted murder of his estranged girlfriend.

Coronado-Saavedra, 40, is suspected of shooting on his estranged girlfriend and another family member before fleeing in the victim's vehicle, a maroon 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, license plate BBW2016.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police found his estranged girlfriend with gunshot wounds to her head and neck on April 4. A second victim suffered minor injuries.

The shooting took place around 9:40 p.m. near the 3400 block of West Colusa Drive.

The names of the victims have not been released. If you see Coronado or the vehicle, please call 911.
