PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. - Two inmates attacked a detention officer at the Pinal County Jail.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office said Ismael Martinez and Fabian Mendivil planned the attack and the two went through with their plan while the guard was on patrol.
The guard fought back while another guard ran for help. He suffered a broken ankle and nose in the attack.
The attack was captured by surveillance cameras.
Both inmates are now facing charges for aggravated assault.
