Authorities have identified the suspect in the deadly shooting that claimed the life of Marie Ann Noelani Garcia, 30, as 32-year-old Nicholas Ray Volk, both of Kingman, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

Garcia was discovered dead in the area of Bank Street and Northern Avenue on Sunday just before 11:30 a.m.

Volk was identified as a suspect in the shooting, according to the sheriff's office.

On March 13, deputies located Volk at a residence in Dolan Springs. The suspect was armed with a shotgun and deputies negotiated with him to exit the residence.

Volk eventually surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.

MCSO said its investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending for those who may have aided Volk.
