TUCSON, Ariz. — A restaurant owner in southern Arizona is asking for justice after a burglar vandalized his business and tried to steal his cash register.

This happened early Sunday morning at Maico restaurant on 22nd Street near Park Avenue in Tucson.

In the surveillance video, you see a man breaking the glass of a window with bars struggling with the cash register trying to get it open and through the window.

The owner, Ramon Becerra told News 4, "Those guys don't take nothing, just breaking the cash register and the window."

However, the suspect didn't break Becerra's spirit of taking care of customers.

He promptly opened the doors at 6 a.m. and said to a customer his order would be ready.

Maico has been open for 12 years. Bradley Rhea has been a customer for 10 of those years.

When he heard of the vandalism Rhea commented, "Especially if you put so much time and love into your business I mean if that's what you do and that's what you care about and for somebody to just to disrespect it yeah it's not great."

It's also the employees Becerra is concerned about. Also, being a small business owner there's so much to consider. Myron Crowe recognizes that.

So when he saw the video of the suspect he responded, "I hope the guy who did that who tried to break in I hope justice is brought to him."

Tucson police said they have recently arrested a 24-year-old suspect for the burglary.
