QUEEN VALLEY, Ariz. — An investigation is underway after burned human remains were found in the desert east of Queen Valley, located east of Apache Junction.
The woman's body was found around 11:35 a.m. on Feb. 1, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
She's recently been identified as 34-year-old Nicoleta Hamlett. Investigators are working with the woman's family to uncover more information related to Hamlett's death and her last known whereabouts.
Hamlett was known to frequent areas in downtown Phoenix and Tempe.
