PAYSON, Ariz. — A home burglary turned into a police pursuit through central Arizona that ended in a traffic collision, officials said.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said two people have been taken into custody and law enforcement officials were looking for a third individual as of Monday afternoon.
State Route 260 was shut down in both directions east of Payson to allow for police to search for the missing suspect. The eastbound lane was closed at milepost 277 and the westbound lane was closed at milepost 287.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said the highway had reopened in both directions by 5:15 p.m.
No further details have been released about the suspects or the burglary leading up to the pursuit.
