Authorities warned people not to stop for hitchhikers as they search for an armed and dangerous man Thursday afternoon.
Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said Thursday night they believe the suspect is no longer in the area, but authorities will patrol the remote area northeast of Rimrock in the Montezuma Well area.
YCSO says he is a white man, about 6-feet tall, wearing a black or blue shirt with black shorts and possibly black gloves.
He was considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are looking for him in connection to a homicide in the Prescott area, YCSO says.
YCSO, Department of Public Safety, and other agencies are involved with the search.
