After authorities conducted several warrants during the investigation of the homicide of Nicholas Douglas Quets, an individual was arrested and at least one person died during a confrontation with authorities, according to the Sonora General Attorney’s Office. Both people are related to the killing of the Arizona Marine killed on Oct. 18.
According to authorities, there were four active warrants at about the same time in Altar.
The suspect arrested was “Francisco Federico, aka ‘Delta 6’ that according to witnesses was identified as being part of the homicide," reads the post. Another suspect was arrested at the same time, but according to authorities, it was for crimes that took place in September 2023 and not related to the homicide.
The post continues to say that while authorities were driving on Obregon Street in Altar, they identified the vehicle that allegedly attacked Quets. The two individuals inside the vehicle were killed during a confrontation.
Edwards Dixon was one of the two people in the car who died and “was identified as one of the ones who killed the U.S. Citizen, he was from Honduras and had a warrant for his arrest," according to the post.
The post concludes by saying the investigations are ongoing and give no reason for Quets’ death.
