Yuma County woman's murder still unsolved after more than a year

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. — The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is still working to find the people responsible for killing a Somerton woman in 2023.

The sheriff's office said Georgina Montoya's body was found near Avenue 1E and County 18th Street in Yuma.

She had been shot multiple times, the sheriff's office said.

It is believed that multiple people were involved in the deadly shooting, according to the sheriff's office.

Anyone with information who can help solve this homicide is asked to come forward.
