BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A sergeant of the Lewis state prison near Buckeye was arrested Tuesday for allegedly "forcing himself" on a female coworker, court records show.
Ramon Godoy, 33, is accused of pinning a woman up against a wall at the Lewis facility and sexually abusing her on July 7.
The woman told police Godoy, her acting supervisor, allegedly strangled her and began to pull off her clothes, court records show. After the incident, the woman went home and contacted the police.
Godoy allegedly admitted to touching the woman despite her objections, claiming he thought the woman was "teasing." When the woman confronted Godoy over the phone about the incident, he allegedly apologized.
The suspect was taken into custody and is facing multiple felony charges.
