Arizona's most popular baby names remain the same 4th year in a row

There's two baby names that parents in Arizona must really like because they've been the most popular since 2019.

PHOENIX — The most popular male and female baby names in Arizona remain unchanged for the fourth year in a row. 

The Arizona Department of Health Services recently unveiled its annual list of the top names chosen by parents in the Grand Canyon State and not much has changed compared to recent years.

Liam and Olivia remained at the top of the 2023 list after already ranking in the first spots since 2019. Liam has notably topped the list for a decade now. 

The top 10 baby names for each sex are listed below along with the number of times it was chosen:

  4. Mia (271)
  5. Camila (265)
  6. Sophia (261)
  7. Amelia (244)
  8. Charlotte (236)

Thirty years ago, the most popular male baby names were Michael, Christopher, and Daniel. The most popular female names were Jessica, Ashley, and Samantha.
