PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department is looking to question a father about the death of his 4-year-old child.

Nathan A. Peru, 30, is facing criminal charges of vehicle theft and sexual conduct with a minor after law enforcement began investigating the circumstances surrounding his child's death.

On March 16, 2024, deputies responded to a residence on Flowing Wells Road for reports of a juvenile drowning. The child was found unresponsive and later died.

As deputies investigated the incident, they developed probable cause to arrest the father, who was able to evade apprehension by allegedly stealing a vehicle and fleeing from law enforcement.

PCSD are not sure where Peru may be and deputies would like to question him about his child's death.

Anyone with information about Peru's whereabouts should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
