PHOENIX — The animals at the Phoenix Zoo got a special treat Friday, thanks to SRP.

The company brought 10 tons of snow and other cool treats to the zoo and let the animals have a real snow day.

Some of the animals were more interested than others. The African painted dogs and Sumatran tiger enjoyed eating the treat while the tortoise preferred the watermelon which was put out with the snow.

The orangutans and Indu the Asian Elephant were given ice treats complete with peanuts frozen into them. Zoo guests also got to enjoy free ice cream, thanks to SRP.

This is all part of SRP's Summer of Savings Giveaway, where customers can find entry codes for a chance to win big prizes, which include an appliance package, smart thermostats and even 55' TVs.

SRP customers can get $10 off a Phoenix Zoo ticket on Fridays and Saturdays until September 6, zoo officials said.
