GILA BEND, Ariz. - Two people are dead and five people were flown to local hospitals after a crash on Interstate 8 at milepost 98 past Gila Bend.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a driver had a mechanical problem and crossed the median before crashing on the wrong side of the road.
The roadway is closed westbound to allow helicopters to land.
