19-year-old dead after rollover crash in Arizona, driver arrested

The sheriff's office said the car's driver is facing a charge of manslaughter.

GILA COUNTY, Ariz. — A 19-year-old Payson resident has died after sustaining injuries in a rollover crash Sunday night.

The Gila County Sheriff's Office said Logan Hernandez died as the injured passenger was being airlifted to a trauma center in Phoenix. 

Hernandez was involved in a rollover crash reported at 9 p.m. on Doll Baby Ranch Road west of Payson. Two other passengers in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The car's driver, 33-year-old Aaron Potten, is going to be booked into jail and is facing a charge of manslaughter, GCSO said. Impairment is suspected of being a contributing factor in causing the crash.
